Department Information

The Department of Anesthesiology at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio currently comprises approximately 40 Clinical Faculty physicians, 15 CRNA, and two PhD research scientists. The department provides clinical services at University Hospital, The Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital and Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital. Our faculty are board certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology, Pediatric Anesthesiology, and Obstetric and Gynecological Anesthesiology.

The Anesthesiology Department supports a strong residency program which currently includes 48 Anesthesiology Residents and 4 Pain Medicine Fellows. The Department also provides clinical rotations and didactic lectures for Medical Students.
